Draeia
Once a glowing and vibrant race, the Draeia are now an extremely bitter people who look upon other races with disdain. With their source of sustenance run dry by those who were never meant to even lay eyes on it, the Draeia are now frail and pale and so emaciated they have barely even the strength to walk in some cases. Despite this, their magical capabilities have remained intact and they remain the most magically capable of races, able to stretch beyond the limits that other races are confined to.

Physical Attributes
Once a vibrant and beautiful people with colorful, glowing eyes, the Draeia are now a mere shadow of what they were before the loss of their energy source. Their frames are often emaciated and nearly skeletal, their skin is extremely pale , often yellowed or totally white, and cold to the touch. Their breath can be seen as though they are in winter air, and many even seem to have a slight shiver or quiver.
The Draeia become fatigued very easily and can lift only a fraction as much as a Human their size may be able to. Their eyes tend to be darkened and even glazed over at times, and they must eat and rest a lot to keep themselves going. Strangely, most of the Draeia have shifted to being Arcane Aligned rather than having an element after the destruction of their power source. Without the power of the Asmutar, the lifespan of the Draeia has dwindled to be closer to that of the average Human, though some may survive a few years longer than that.
The one trait that seems to have stayed close to their original state is that their eyes are colored all the way through rather than having whites. In some instances, they may even glow dully when using magic or emotionally charged. Aside from this, they may often come with one or two extra eyes which vary in placement on their bodies. These eyes are fully functioning but may sometimes be of a more dull color than the others.
Despite the fact that Asmutar has lost its power long ago, many still wear parts of the gem or stone as a part of their attire even though it no longer ripples with energy and is now dull or even cracked, lacking its former beauty. To many, these garnishments still hold sentimental and cultural value as well as further fueling their anger toward other races for the destruction of the Asmutar and, in their eyes, their people.

Government and Military
The Asmutar, a large gem filled mineral, was once filled with a great magical energy and was said to have given birth to the Draeia. As such, they were dependent on its power as a source of sustenance for their people. By drinking water from the natural fountain it formed from rainwater pouring over it and filling the stone lined crater in which it sits they were able to remain healthy and strong without any need for food. By wearing pieces of the stone and gems of the same kind which lay around the Asmutar's fountain they found they could extend their energy a bit longer between drinks, allowing them a chance to travel further.
However, other races eventually learned of the Asmutar and its magical battery properties. They discovered that should they drink of the special water as the Draeia did then their abilities would be boosted, and soon many were taking of the Asmutar's energy. Eventually, the amounts drawn from it became too much for the Asmutar to handle and the whole thing cracked.
In an attempt to save their source of sustenance, as well as preserve their race's well-being, the Draeia took arms and tried to fight off the intruding races- However, it was too much and the stone eventually crumbled down into the fountain crater. With the Asmutar destroyed, their slow decline into the emaciated state which they are currently trapped in began and they became fully aware of their fates. Even without the energy of the Asmutar to boost them anymore, the other races did not leave the Draeia lands and instead sought out their other resources or ways to try and repair the battery stone.
Fearing they would be entirely wiped out and rapidly getting more weak by the day without the energy needed to physically sustain them, the Draeia began to lose hope.... That is until 3 brave members of their race stepped up to lead them. With the last of their physical strength, these 3 led the Draeia to victory and drove the other races off from their lands, but not without sacrifice. They set up protections and a system, and quickly became the new leaders of their people.
The 3, known commonly as the Saviors, now rule as a unit and remain with in a special temple-like building where they discuss issues. Despite their venerated and heroic status, the Saviors have not revealed themselves in a long time and instead make contact through their appointed diplomat, who is the only person to have viewed them since their victory. Being a race of few now, the Draeia have no official military and instead act more like a tribe of sorts.
